About the Teacher

My name is Coinne Gettys and I have been teaching since I graduated in 2009. I've taught middle school for 9 years and I just love what middle school students come up with in an art room! My favorite art forms are drawing, watercolors, and ceramic sculpture, but at home I mostly express my creativity through cooking, photography, and art journaling.

My family is my life! I have a 20 year old stepson, a 10 year old boy, and a 3 year old. As a family, we love swimming and spending time in our backyard grilling and hanging out, going on walks, going on cruises, and playing Minecraft :)

I am looking forward to seeing the amazing things you will make art about. It's going to be a great year, Bears!
