Course Objectives:

The objective of this course will be for all students to have a solid depth of knowledge of the Deer Valley Unified School District’s 8th grade math scope and sequence which is based on Arizona College and Career Ready Standards (AZ-CCRS).

Required Materials/Supplies:

Student Binder: All students are asked to have notebook paper and a 3-ring binder with the required student resource materials needed each day.

Composition or Spiral Notebook:  Students will need a composition notebook for their ISN (Interactive Student Notebook). Students can use a spiral notebook but it is to be used for math class only.

Supplies: Students must have a pencil with eraser each day. Students are encouraged to bring in their own personal supplies such as pens, highlighters, erasers, colored pencils, markers, scientific calculator, and glue sticks.

*Arizona law requires that public schools provide supplies required for academic success.  This list represents optional, supplementary items which you may supply, at your discretion.  If you have questions, feel free to contact the school*

PowerSchools and Canvas:

The PowerSchools site allows parents/guardians and students to access the student’s grades, attendance, and other information. Grades are updated nightly from Canvas in to PowerSchools.  Progress reports are available on PowerSchools; please check weekly! Parents/Guardians who do not have a login code for their child can get one at the front office.  Photo identification will be required to receive your password.
