Meet Mrs. Malone
My name is Tracy Malone, and I am so excited to be a part of your child’s Kindergarten learning experience here at Highland Lakes!
I am originally from Detroit, Michigan, and have lived in Seattle, Washington, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa before moving to Phoenix in 1998.
I graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Master's Degree in Bilingual/Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University. I have endorsements in both Early Childhood and English as a Second Language. I have over 25 years of teaching experience in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade, and have been teaching Kindergarten for 12 years in Deer Valley. In addition to teaching at Highland Lakes, I am also a part-time Instructor at Grand Canyon University, teaching Early Childhood and ESL courses to future educators.
I love to travel, hike, sing, take my dog Milo for walks, and spend time with my family. I have been married for 21 years. Our son, John, and daughter, Olivia, both graduated from Mountain Ridge High School. Olivia is attending the University of Arizona studying Law and Journalism, and John is looking forward to becoming an apprentice electrician.
I look forward to working with your child and getting to know all of you :-)
