Meet Mrs. Wheeler

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Wheeler.  I am very excited to be your first grade teacher!  We have a fun year of learning ahead of us!  I have been teaching first grade  in the Deer Valley Unified School District since 1997.  I love being part of the Highland Lakes family!  I previously taught first grade at three other Deer Valley schools- Bellair, Norterra Canyon, and Mirage.  I have two grown children who went to DV schools from kindergarten through 12th grade.  They are now both college graduates of two of our state universities.  I have one Sun Devil and one Wildcat!  In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, go camping, and read; although math was my favorite subject in school!  I am looking forward to another exciting year in first grade!

2 Composition Notebooks, Wide Ruled

1 Folder plastic with pockets

1 Pencil Box that includes 

1 Red Pen

1 Blue Pen

1 Green Pen

 2 Sharpened Pencils 

 1 Glue Stick

1 Pair of Scissors

1 whiteboard Eraser 

1 Pack of 24-count Crayons

1 Pair of Headphones (Over the Ear & Labeled)

1 Package of Black Expo Dry-Erase Markers (Not Skinny) 

2 Packages of Glue Sticks

1 Package of Sharpened Pencils 

2 Packages of Tissues 

2 Packages of Clorox Wipes

1 Package of Markers

Girls- Gallon Bags

Boys- Sandwich Bags
