Meet Mrs. Wheeler

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Wheeler.  I am very excited to be your first grade teacher!  We have a fun year of learning ahead of us!  I have been teaching first grade  in the Deer Valley Unified School District since 1997.  I love being part of the Highland Lakes family!  I previously taught first grade at three other Deer Valley schools- Bellair, Norterra Canyon, and Mirage.  I have two grown children who went to DV schools from kindergarten through 12th grade.  They are now both college graduates of two of our state universities.  I have one Sun Devil and one Wildcat!  In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, go camping, and read; although math was my favorite subject in school!  I am looking forward to another exciting year in first grade!
