About the Teacher

Mrs. Jennifer Elam

Hello students and parents!

My name is Jenny Elam and I am the 5th grade Renaissance teacher for this school year. I am very excited to be working with your child and family this school year.

This is my 26th year of teaching. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in the Pendergast District, Peoria District, and Deer Valley District. I received my teaching degree from Grand Canyon University and went on to earn my Masters degree from NAU. 

My husband and I have been married for 23 years and have 3 wonderful children - Taylor (20), Jaidyn (16), and Cade (16). We all enjoy spending our time outdoors - at the lake, in the forest, fishing, kayaking, boating and off-roading. We have three very energetic dogs - Bailey (Chocolate Lab), Lucy (Bulldog/Lab mix), and Milo (Chocolate Lab). 

My expectations for students are high. We will problem solve, explore, and create things together. While we are working together, communication is of the upmost importance.
