Game Expectations for Students
Game Expectations
When students choose to attend a home athletic event at Highland Lakes they are agreeing to abide by the following expectations:
- Students planning to attend the game must be dismissed from school and exit the campus at 3:30 pm
- Students will not be permitted to remain on campus and wait for the games to start.
- Student spectators will be allowed to return to campus and go directly to the gym at 4:30 pm
- Students will stay in the building for the duration of the game. Once a student leaves the building, they will not be allowed back into the game unless accompanied by a parent.
- Students must have a ride or a designated way to get home when they leave the game or when the game is over.
- Students will sit in the designated student section and remain in the stands, except for bathroom breaks.
- Students will follow ROAR expectations, remain positive, and offer support to both teams. Any negative or derogatory comments or actions towards any person or team will not be permitted.
- Students are expected to follow all normal school rules when attending a game.
- Students are expected to clean up after themselves and pick up any trash left in their area.
- Water is only allowed in the gymnasium. No other food or drinks are permitted.
- Students who did not attend school, for any reason on the day of a game, are not permitted on campus at after-school events.
These expectations are in place to guarantee an enjoyable game experience for everyone involved. Any student who does not meet the Game Expectations could be asked to leave and lose future game privileges.
